In partnership with KRC Research, we surveyed 3,500 procurement managers and organizational leaders to identify the trends influencing procurement in 2025. Our study revealed the following findings:
- Strategic innovations face historical obstacles : While many leaders emphasize the rapid evolution of procurement, long-standing obstacles such as organizational complexity, budgets, and supplier relationships still hinder progress.
- Optimizations require a better understanding : The professionals interviewed almost all agree that purchasing can be improved, but many of them insist on the need for more robust data, information, and analysis.
- Supplier relationships are crucial : The decision-makers interviewed cited their suppliers’ inability to ensure digital procurement and a lack of communication and support as two of the main current operational challenges in procurement.
